Welcome to Jurassic Park. The game that is 65 million years in the making is finally launching on Kickstarter. Okay, so maybe it’s only 2 years in the making, but this is still a big step for Jurassic World and board game fans everywhere.

After much anticipation, Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar is officially up and running on Kickstarter starting today. The game was developed by Prospero Hall, the design studio of Funko Games, and this marks Prospero Hall’s first legacy game based on a major motion picture franchise.

Designed for kids ages 10 and up, the game will follow the story of the Jurassic World franchise in 12 different adventures that span from before the events in Jurassic Park all the way through Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, including some original stories to fill in the gaps between films and a spoiler-free ending for Jurassic World Dominion (which hits theaters this June). Each adventure is 1-2 hours long, and players can unlock up to 12 dinosaurs and more than 21 old and new characters with unique abilities, knowledge, and powers. The goal is for players to work together throughout the game to shape their own Jurassic Park. From character selection and dinosaur development to building placement, every choice leads to a consequence — good or bad.

Fans can back the project on Kickstarter now to pledge their support and receive a special edition of the game when it is ready to ship. If the project meets its goal, the estimated ship date is this October. Head to Kickstarter for a very detailed overview of the project, including behind-the-scenes videos and a gameplay preview.
