Nintendo is gifting kids with fun games and downloads to keep them occupied during this holiday break. Check out these updates to the Nintendo Switch eShop that include digital painting, virtual board games, monster hunting, and more!
The Dungeon Munchies game is a kid’s best nightmare. As the undead Necro-chef Simmer, kids can hunt down monsters and turn them into gourmet meals. There are more than 100 dishes to cook up in the kitchen, and each one provides kids with a new ability as they try to figure out which one works best for their playstyle and appetite. On their journey of becoming five-star monster chefs, kids can also unlock more characters the more that they play. Chasing down monsters can be hard work and every second counts.
In Timelie, kids have the opportunity to gain complete control of time, playing as a girl and her adorable cat in a game all about seeing the past and foreseeing the future. The goal is to help the duo escape the world that they are currently trapped in. It’s up to the player to create the right distraction at just the right time to bypass enemies and wandering eyes in this colorful world of puzzles and adventure.
For a more relaxed gaming experience, kids can download the virtual board game collection, Let’s Play! Oink Games. However, these are not ordinary board games. The game “A Fake Artist Goes to New York” requires vigilance and speed as kids try to catch the sketchy rogue trying to hide from their view.
The coloring adventure Chicory: A Colorful Tale encourages kids to use their critical thinking skills to solve puzzles and use their painting powers to help Chicory bring color to the world. The game Aspira: Ina’s Tale features beautiful scenery that kids can explore virtually as they solve intuitive puzzles to help set Ina free from her imprisonment.
Super Animal Royale is back for a second season with a new furtastic battle royale that kids can enjoy with up to 64 players! The fun doesn’t stop here: Other games coming to the eShop include Arcade Archives Dragon Buster, Carebotz, Monopoly Madness, and more. For Mario Kart enthusiasts, a special “Holiday Fun Run” is coming to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Kids can play with siblings or invite friends to play virtually with a My Nintendo reward that enables players to test out all kinds of features on the Nintendo Switch for free without having to collect any platinum points!
Kids can catch all of these holiday goodies on their Nintendo Switch before mom and dad make them trade in the games for homework breaks again.
