Ba-na-na? Banana! Banana! You may have known how much Minions love bananas, but how about banana pancakes?
The mischievous Minions of Despicable Me fame are taking over the IHOP menu with limited-time summer food items inspired by Illumination’s new film, Minions: The Rise of Gru. The Minions have reimagined some IHOP staples in their own magical way, infusing it with bananas, cinnamon doughnut holes, and even more bananas.
The special menu features eight new food and beverage options. The food includes the Ba-Ba-Banana Pudding Pancakes with fresh banana slices, banana pudding, and Minion sprinkles; the Cinna-Minions doughnut holes with cinnamon sugar and cream cheese icing; Gru’s Evil Steakburger; the Mischievous Minion Kids Combo; and the Cinna-Minions Family Feast. The beverage options include the Ba-Ba-Banana Milkshake with fresh banana and Nilla wafer cookie pieces; the Minion Mango OJ Splasher with orange juice, mango syrup, Lemon Lime Soda, and fresh blueberries; and the Cold Gru Iced Coffee.
This Minions-inspired menu is available at participating IHOP restaurants nationwide now through Aug. 21. Kids 12 and under can receive a free entrée from the kid’s menu with the purchase of an adult entrée between 4-10 p.m.
Minions: The Rise of Gru is the second movie in the Minions franchise, following Gru’s journey to become a supervillain. Along the way, he discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends. Catch it in theaters starting on July 1.
