Breaking the mold of Lego and Playmobil, Hoblen is a construction toy that seeks to put creativity squarely into the hands of children.
Unlike traditional bricks and blocks, Hoblen pieces are circular in design and can fit interchangeably with virtually any other piece. There are no set instructions or any specific object to be made from Hoblen pieces, allowing kids to expand their creativity into endless projects and constructs. Even the character pieces that are included in Hoblen have interchangeable clothes and appearances, so kids can also create their own characters.
Hoblen expansions so far include the standard Woodland Realm Starter Set, which comes with more than 233 pieces. Other realms and pieces are currently in production.
Kickstarter donations range from $5 to $10,000. Prizes include the Woodland Starter Set and exclusive concept art and character accessories by creator Heater Jichi herself.
