On Monday, Fall is officially upon us. Cooler weather might sneak in, but that’s the perfect excuse to get in the kitchen. The Harlow’s Harvest subscription box adds excitement to cooking by teaching kids about the STEM behind it.
Each monthly box comes with recipe cards, a science project, background info on the dish families can make, and plenty of chances to get educational. Kids can calculate the costs of ingredients, work on fractions by measuring, and learn some facts about nutrition. Recipes are simple enough for 4-year-olds to handle with the help of parents, but challenging enough that a 15-year-old would want to use it to show off their skills.
The theme of every box varies by month. In September, the Starry Night kit has campfire-inspired recipes and solar system activities. October’s box is inspired by Día de Los Muertos and Mexican culture. In November and December, things get festive with the Community kit and the Holidays Around the World kit.
Boxes are available separately for $23 each, as a six-month subscription for $21 a month, or as a yearly subscription for $19 a month. Find more info here!
