It’s about time for this!

You and your kids may be familiar with the tiny, green, plastic army collectible figures; however, before now, there’s been a stunning lack of female representation across the line. After receiving a letter from 6-year-old Vivian, BMC Toys, the creators of the army men figures, decided to do something about that. So, launching this fall, a new series of army toys will be comprised solely of female soldiers in the line’s characteristic green hue.

These figures will be posed in the Green Army Men’s classic stances, including standing, kneeling rifle(wo)man, grenadier, bazooka operator, low-crawling soldier, combat medic, and more. There will be new military careers joining the ranks, such as K-9 handlers (each comes with a pup figure, too), a military nurse, and even Rosie the Riveter in her signature pose.

These new figures will be available in sets of 36, as well as an 86-piece jumbo bucket. Both are currently available for preorder.

Check out a few of the prototypes below!
