If you have young children between the ages of 1 and 5, you’re probably always on the hunt for toys that both can play with together. With toys like that, you don’t have to worry that the one year old is going to choke on the 4 year old’s toy cars, or that the 4 year old isn’t bored with the baby’s toys.

In my own similar hunt, I found something that meets those requirements. It is the Go! Go! Smart Wheelsâ„¢ by VTechâ„¢. There are many sets from which to choose – an airport, a fire station, a garage, a race track, a bridge, and lots of cars to use on them all (fire trucks, airplanes, helicopters, tow trucks, police cars, etc.) The colors are bright and fun, the cars are rounded and perfect for little hands to hold, the materials are sturdy, and each set fits within the other, so you can create a mini-VTech city.

There are also ‘Smart Points’ on the tracks, which recognizes which vehicle that your child is playing with. So even if you have only bought the airport set, if you added on with a fire truck and police Smart Wheelies, the ‘airport’ set knows that the fire truck is on the track. So there is seemless integration within the toy itself.

I bought the garage a year ago and then was gifted the airport recently. My one year old daughter loves the music and the lights, and my 3 year old loves the play factor. I love the fact that this toy enables them to play together. For grandparents, or family and friends, it is nice to give pieces knowing that it fits in the others, making a gift that keeps growing, rather than gift that replacing old ones.

So the next time you are looking for a gift that keeps on giving or a gift that keeps on playing, give the Go! Go! Smart Wheels a whirl!
