JustPlay.GlowDoodleJust Play’s Glow Doodle Bear is an activity and soft plush toy in one. Doodle Bear is not a totally new toy—this is a play pattern that kids have enjoyed for years: doodle, wash, doodle again. However, Glow Doodle Bear adds a new element with the ability to draw with a light pen in the dark and see their design glow for a bit until it fades away, then draw with light again. Essentially, I could have doodled endlessly with light, which is somewhat addictive. If you don’t like how an element came out, it will fade and you can give it another shot.

The doodle, wash, doodle again element is the mainstay of the product, and one that doesn’t require darkness to enjoy. There is a stamper as well. I personally enjoy the fact that there are white outlines all over the plush, so I could trace those and still felt like I was glamorizing my teddy bear. For some kids, the ability to trace designs may be a key feature.

When you’re done doodling up a storm, throw Glow Doodle Bear in the washing machine and start fresh!
