Finally, it’s time for some peas and quiet.

Baby Baby’s Garden Quiet Book is a sensory learning activity for kids to curl up with for a calming play experience. It features multiple pages of soft, felt items for kids to explore — all of which revolve around the theme of fruits and veggies.

From the very first page, kids interact with it the book and learn from it. There’s one zucchini to find, two beets buried in the “dirt,” and so on. Each veggie is labeled with its quantity so that kids can associate the number with the amount. I don’t want to spoil the entire book — especially that ending! — but every page has a different sensory item to explore, such as velcro, buttons, zippers, string, and more.

The book is built to last through even the most ambitious preschooler’s grasps. Each removable piece has its designated home, but kids can also place them in a folder in the back of the book. The folder also works well for when kids inevitably (unfortunately) outgrow the book and it goes into storage. Parents can store mementos inside to rediscover down the road.

Baby Baby was founded by twin sisters Svetlana and Anatasia, both of whom are parents to young kids. They discovered quiet books — books traditionally made out of fabric — and realized that they were a great way to occupy toddlers itching for screen time when out and about. When they discovered that it was hard to find the quality that they wanted, they decided to make their own.

These quiet books are created by parents for parents and I think that’s why they carry extra details. While kids aren’t necessarily looking at the packaging, parents can appreciate how the Garden Quiet Book arrives. It comes with a small drawstring bag to store it in on trips to grandma’s house or car rides.

Kids sprout their imaginations, discover a bounty of sensory activities, and stay occupied without a screen. Did I mention yet that it’s quiet?
