Elmo is hosting a special scavenger hunt for all of his Sesame Street friends in a new special on HBO Max.
In Elmo’s Playdate: Scavenger Hunt, Elmo will team up with Abby Cadabby via video chat to complete a virtual scavenger hunt with the help of Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Rosita, Oscar the Grouch, Bert, Ernie, Elmo’s dad Louie, and Mr. Stripey the tiger. Kids can play along at home using the printable worksheet (find it here) to keep track of all seven items. Amy Sedaris will make a guest appearance with easy craft ideas and Gabrielle Union will join Elmo and Abby for a singalong.
The special is the part of the Sesame Workshop’s Caring For Each Other initiative, which is funded in part by the Critical Needs Response Fund, a source of funds designed to meet the urgent needs of families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sesame Workshop has also partnered with online fundraising platform Omaze for another virtual playdate – a sweepstakes that will unite a winner and guest with Big Bird and Abby Cadabby. The sweepstakes is now live until Wednesday, Aug. 12.
