With the election coming up quickly, kids are bound to ask dozens of questions on how the process works. Instead of trying to explain the complex systems, let them learn through a game!

Election Night! from Semper Smart Games combines color-coded electoral maps with a double-sided gameboard to create a game that varies in complexity based on player skill. Players compete for the presidency by trying to win over states with the most representation or locking down smaller states across the board.

Kids can also work on their multiplication, addition, and U.S. geography with different game versions. PlaySmart Dice come with the game and are 12-sided to make math facts easy to understand.

The game comes with dry-erase markers and two decks of strategy cards. Find it on Amazon for 10% off on President’s Day (Feb. 17).

Nicole Savas

As a kid, Nicole either wanted to be a professional toy player-wither or a writer. Somehow, as social media editor for The Toy Insider, The Toy Book, and The Pop Insider, she’s found a career as both. She's grateful to work somewhere that she can fully embrace both her love of teddy bears and her admiration for the Oxford comma. When she's not playing with toys at work, she's playing with her baby girl at home.
