It’s hard for kids to get the exercise they need without their daily recess and after-school activities this year.
The Elanation sports app can help kids get up and moving on a more routine basis as they go about their home schooling or distance learning schedules. The app offers gymnastics, yoga, strength training, soccer, martial arts, tennis, dance, and other activities with tutorials led by professional instructors, such as stuntman and professional parkour athlete Jesse La Flair, USA Division 1 soccer player DJ Diveny, and Broadway dancer Nikki Croker. There are more than 1,000 skills covered with new content, sports, and instructors added constantly and different levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
Kids who won’t be able to participate in after-school sports this year can even compete with friends with the app’s leaderboards and sports challenges. Users can add friends to their profile to share their progress and bond over new skills while maintaining social distancing.
The app requires iOS 9.0 or later Apple updates and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Android users will need Android 4.4 and up. The Australian app is available now in the U.S., with a free first trial week and a cost of $5.99 per month moving forward. There is also a family sharing plan that allows up to six family members to use the app.
