The EcoTruck is a recycled, safe, and sustainable toy that is made in the U.S. The toy has the look and feel of a wooden toy but is made from a new type of material, a hybrid between wood and plastic. At least 30% of the plastic will be replaced with organic fibers. This new composite is injection moldable (like plastics), which means that the color is molded into the toy. Since there is no paint on the toy, there are no worries about it potentially chipping or flaking.
Each toy is designed using precision engineering CAD software. These prototypes are 3D printed and tested for fit and function. It is made for preschoolers and based off of real-life vehicles.
Kickstarter donations range from $1-$50 and prizes include trading cards, a poster, and fire trucks in the different colors. A one of a kind reward has just been added to have the fire truck 3D printed to sport Kickstarter colors, white, green, and black for $150.
