There are officially less than 100 days until Halloween and then it’s just a whirlwind of holidays after that, so it’s time to start getting festive! Douglas is launching a handful of new plush characters for both Halloween and the winter season.
It may be hot-hot-hot outside right now, but autumn weather will soon be on the way, setting the scene for Douglas’ new characters. The 7-inch Chocolate Lab in Pumpkin Print PJ’s comes wearing a onesie pajama set in pale orange with ghosts, pumpkins, spiders, and other Halloween icons printed on them. Douglas will also release a 4.5-inch fuzzy black bat with purple wings and a purple nose, and a 5.25-inch black cat with rounded orange-and-black striped ears; an orange nose; and a bushy, orange-and-black striped tail. The Halloween Fun characters will launch in August.
Douglas will debut three new Holiday Softs in September. The Softs line is known for plush characters that are incredibly soft with under-stuffed floppiness. Tobie the White Sloth is a 7-inch white sloth with gray circles around his eyes, tan claw-like paws, and festive scarf tied around his neck. Fernie the Fawn is an 8-inch fawn with a caramel coloring and richer chocolate hooves. She has a white face, a brown nose, and white ears with pink blush inside. She wears a holiday bow on one ear in red, black, and white plaid. Scottie the Highland Cow is a 7-inch long-haired cow that is completely caramel in color with darker chocolate hooves to match his fluffy tail. His long horns are marked in a festive red, black, and white plaid.
Douglas’ Holiday Handfuls collection are plush toys that fit right into the palm of kids’ hands. The Holiday Handfuls assortment is also expanding this September with a white cat wearing a red satin ribbon around her neck and a red-and-white knit snowflake mittens; a gray-and-white Husky pup wearing a red-and-white knit snowflake print scarf; and a Chocolate Lab wearing a classic red-and-white snowflake print knit stocking cap. These three friends are 6-inches tall and are sold as an assortment. Each character sits in a lay-back position with its paws up, ready for tummy rubs.
The popular Holiday Friends Collection will add two new characters to the group: Melty the Snowman available in 6.5 inches and 8.5 inches, and the 6.5-inch Santa in his red suit and stocking hat, complete with a full white beard and mustache. Melty looks like two snowballs stacked on top of each other, with an orange carrot nose, green mittens, and a red-and-black buffalo check hat with ear flaps. Douglas will also launch the Winter Friends Collection, featuring a red fox, a white owl, and a red cardinal. All three 6-inch plush animals wear a red-and-green plaid scarf with fringe.
All of these Douglas collections are suitables for kids ages 3 and up. Douglas’ products are sold at specialty gift and toy stores in the U.S. and Canada. Look for the Halloween Fun characters on shelves starting in August, and the rest of these festive friends on shelves in September.
