New year, new look!

In time for the new year, Barbie’s getting a makeover.

Yesterday, Mattel unveiled a slate of diverse Barbie Fashionistas to “better reflect the world [kids] see today.” There’s one doll with vitiligo, one without hair, and one with a gold prosthetic limb and a darker skin tone. Ken also gets a new look, now sporting long, golden locks of his own that kids can brush and style. While the doll with vitiligo and the long-haired Ken doll are available now, the remainder of the line will hit stores this summer.

According to the company’s website, the Fashionistas doll range now includes 176 dolls with nine body types, 35 skin tones, and 94 hairstyles that add so much more diversity to the way kids play.

What a squad!
