The world first met Buzz Lightyear more than 25 years ago in Toy Story. After Andy watched a movie within the film, he became obsessed with all things Lightyear. Now, we’re finally getting the Space Ranger’s origin story on June 17 in Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear

The animated film tells the story of Buzz Lightyear as a young astronaut, voiced by Chris Evans. After being marooned with his commander and crew on T’Kani Prime, a hostile planet, he tries to find a way back home through space. Along the way, he is joined by his robot companion, Sox, and a group of ambitious recruits. Together, they will have to save the universe from Zurg and his army of ruthless robots.
