top girls toysOver the past few years, drones, handheld devices, and tons of other tech toys have changed the meaning of play. Rarely do kids spend playtime the old-school way—relying on imagination and creativity to pave the way for hours of fun. Thankfully, Haywire Group is here to remind kids that traditional play is still alive and better than ever.

How so, you may ask? Haywire Group’s new Calafant sets allow kids to create farms, castles, palaces, and even pirate ships in all different styles and three sizes, which include small, medium, and large sets. Once they construct their sets, they can add tons of color and designs to match their structure to their own unique style. Not only will kids take pride in the finished product, but they will also get to spend hours playing with their own masterpieces.

The Calafant Medium Princess Castle, one of many options available in the line of cardboard sets, is perfect for all little wanderlust daydreamers. The castle comes with 10 cardboard pieces that kids connect to create the castle, including towers, hallways, and doors. To help with the crafting process, the easy-to-follow instructions include a step-by-step picture guide that demonstrates how to fold each piece, as well as instructions on which pieces connect. Parents don’t even need to worry about all the mess and stickiness that comes with glue, because the cardboard pieces feature nterlocking tabs that lock into place without any adhesive.

The cardboard pieces are durable and designed for decorating, which makes it fun for kids to color or even paint. The castle also comes with 12 vibrant markers to inspire kids to get creative. The gender-neutral set lets kids add a splash of color so that they can transform their castle into everything from a far-off fantasyland, to a dark and uninviting fortress.

When the entire castle is put together, it measures 11 inches tall and nearly 10 inches wide. In other words, the set is designed so that kids can take most of their average-sized toys and figures, and play with them in their cardboard castle. Additionally, the interlocking pieces are not only perfect for assembly, but when playtime is over, each piece easily detaches and packs away for easy storage.

The Princess Castle, along with all the sets in Haywire Group’s Calafant line, encourage kids to push their creativity to new limits and use playtime as a means for imaginative play.
