Who’s excited for Black Panther’s release next week?  The TI team surely is! After seeing Black Panther make a brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War  back in 2016, we’ve been waiting almost two years for him to pounce back onto our screens. Now, as he headlines his own movie—the first Marvel movie to have an African American superhero lead—we watch as he returns to his home country of Wakanda to ascend the throne after his father died. Of course, his homecoming is nothing shy of venturesome, as conflict brews and puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. No biggie, right?

While we wait for Black Panther‘s release on Feb. 16, my toy team and I have been feeding our excitement by playing with some of the newest Black Panther toys! If you’re an aspiring superhero like myself, or you’re looking for an epic Wakanadian-inspired toy block build, then you’re going to freak over these ferociously fabulous toys.

Black Panther Vibranium Power FX Mask (Hasbro)

Take one last look in the mirror because once you put this mask on, you are Black Panther, my friend! In the depths of the night, kids can roam and pry around unnoticed in your mask. But beware, once the button on the left ear is pressed, the forehead glows blue in either a fixed or pulsing pattern (a.k.a the essence of Black Panther is summoned and your cover is blown)! I just hope Killmonger isn’t anywhere nearby. This mask also features a flip-down transparent blue lens to shield your eyes, that can be adjusted with the lever on the side. With a head strap in the back, it’s sure to stay secure. It’s a pretty intense mask, so do make sure to take it off before you leave the house (again—I’m sorry my mailman had to see me like this).

Black Panther Funko Pop! Erik Killmonger (Funko)

Just because Killmonger is the bad guy, doesn’t mean we can’t play with the toys he inspired. If you’re feeling evil, Funko produced a glow-in-the-dark vinyl bobble head of Killmonger and it’s pretty #lit, as the kids would say.

Marvel Super Heroes Rhino Face-Off by the Mine (LEGO)

It’s fight time! Build the best scenes from the star-studded flick with Black Panther and Okoye in a Rhino Face-Off by the Mine against the wicked Killmonger. This 229-piece set features a posable rhino figure with stud shooters and a rail track with a moving mining cart. The Rhino features a minifigure seat, posable head and legs, rhino horn elements, and two stud shooters. Kids will be able to tip the mining cart or activate the rail track’s explode function to knock over the cart and spill the Vibranium! This set includes Black Panther, Okoye, and Killmonger minifigures.

Black Panther 2-in-1 Panther Jet (Hasbro)

Let’s roll! Every epic superhero needs a cool vehicle to zoom off in when danger strikes. Luckily, Black Panther’s has a pretty neat ride. Panther Jet, as it is deemed, is both a panther vehicle (it folds up to look like a giant panther) and a jet in the same toy. Kids can easily switch into terrain form (Panther vehicle) or prepare for an aerial attack (jet mode) in just seconds. The only downside is it doesn’t come with a black panther character figure, BUT, wink wink, that brings us to our next toy:

Black Panther Titan Hero Series 12-inch Action Figure  (Hasbro)

Kids can reenact Black Panther’s cunning moves from the movie at home with this Black Panther figure from the Titan Hero Series. This 12-inch-figure has a burly build, moveable limbs, and is detailed exactly like the real Black Panther—down to the abs! But if you’re looking to bring BP to life, his back is a port for the Titan Hero Power FX pack (not included; sold separately with Titan Hero Power FX figures). When you connect this special pack into Black Panther’s back, you can activate character-specific sounds and phrases from the movie.

Black Panther RC Stealth Cruiser (Jakks Pacific)

Race into action with this cruiser inspired by Black Panther’s suit. With a 2.4 GHz remote and full function controls, you can watch your ride go at superhero speed. This car comes from the Jakks’ XPV line of Xtreme Performance Vehicles and is currently only available at Meijer.

Black Panther Vibranium Power FX Claw (Hasbro)

Now this is fierce! Slip your hand into this ferocious accessory and transform into Black Panther (or at least from the fingers  to the wrist). Notice something is missing? Black Panther only has four fingers, which may prove a little difficult at first for all of us non-super heroes ( TBH I wasn’t sure what to do with my thumb). Yet you’ll love the retractable claws and how easily you can flex the hand back and fourth, making it really feel like it’s your mighty hand attached and not a toy. There’s also a strap to secure the claw on your  hand like a baseball mitt. The final touch is the real clawing sounds and orange lights glowing in the nails that will really make you feel like you’re in battle.

Black Panther Vibranium Strike Gauntlet (Hasbro)

Shout out to Shuri for a being a power woman! In the movie, you may have noticed that she wears a gauntlet allowing her to easily charge into combat with projectile-firing action. Now you can be equipped like Shuri with this toy model brought to us from NERF. With the Black Panther Vibranium Strike Gauntlet, you are always prepared to charge into combat. The gauntlet is designed to look like the head of a panther and includes Nerf darts so you can load the projectiles and get ready to blast.

Hot Wheels Black Panther Command Center (Mattel)

For any Hot Wheels collectors looking to drive Black Panther style, you are in luck. You can literally zoom into the mouth of Black Panther with the Black Panther Command Center. One car is included, but Hot Wheels will also offer Black Panther and Eric Killmonger character cars separately.

Marvel Super Heroes Royal Talon Fighter Attack (LEGO)

This 358-piece-set enables kids to reenact epic scenes from the movie such as capturing the Killmonger (Mwahaha). The Royal Talon Fighter features an opening cockpit, two stud shooters and a rear prison compartment that can trap a minifigure. This set comes with four minifigures—Black Panther, Nakia, Killmonger and Ulysses Klaue—to allow kids to reenact scenes from the movie. The Talon Fighter also comes with Nakia’s 2 disc blades, Killmonger’s flick missile shooter, and Ulysses Klaue’s ultrasonic robotic hand.

Marvel Minatures Black Panther Movie Set (Diamond Select Toys)

If you’re looking for a mix of characters, check out these Minimatures, from Diamond Select Toys. This group of collectibles includes Black Panther, M’Baku, Killmonger, and Shuri. Each Minimatemini-figures stands at 2 inches tall, features 14 points of articulation on each figure, as well as fully interchangeable parts.

Legends Vibranium Suit Black Panther Exclusive Action Figure (Hasbro)

Black Panther suits up in this glowing number made with Vibranium-technology as he prepares for battle. With the Legends Series, Marvel fans can start a legendary collection of comic- and movie-based Marvel characters. For any fans of both the comic book and movie, you’ll love this 6-inch scale Walmart Exclusive Vibranium Suit Black Panther figure. This figure takes after the comic book version, making it a little bit more unique than the movie version Legend Series Black Panther.

Marvel Black Panther: The Ultimate Guide (DK)

Before heading to the theaters, you can get up to date on Black Panther History. This substantial book chronicles Black Panther’s journey all the way from his debut in 1966 to the present, as well as offering some iconic comic artwork. Readers will get in-depth looks into all the characters lives, as well as learn some new information on many of the story arcs incorporated into the series such as “Panther’s Rage,” “Doomwar,” “Secret Invasion,” and “A Nation Under Our Feet.”

Deluxe Muscle Chest Kids Black Panther Costume (Rubie’s Costume Co.)

This one is kids only! This padded jumpsuit comes equipped with 3-D gauntlets and 3-D boot tops, gifting kids with a realistic Black Panther look while not compromising comfort. This soft body suit gives children the full physique and experience of being Black Panther. Perfect if you’re bringing them to their first Comic Con, amiright?
