Photographer: Jeff O'Brien Stylist: Lin CarlsonIf you spend a lot of weekends (or weekdays, who are we kidding?) binge-watching everything on HGTV, you’ll know that anything is possible if you have a dream—and Chip and Joanna Gaines. (If you’d like to discuss the beautiful art that is Joanna Gaines’ interior design work, please hit me up separately.)

We’re all looking for that extreme home makeover—if you’ll excuse the pun—and Barbie is no different. I mean, if you’re going to literally be the ultimate career woman, you sure as heck better have a super great place to put your feet up at the end of the day.

Meet Barbie Hello Dreamhouse, Mattel‘s fabulous IRL version of that Disney Channel movie Smart House (1999). Hello Dreamhouse is everything that Barbie could want in a home—it’s got a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room, and a snazzy bedroom, all in a modernized style of which even the Property Brothers would approve.

But here’s something you’ve never seen on HGTV (Joanna, you’re still my star!): Hello Dreamhouse responds to voice commands.

That’s right! Hook up Hello Dreamhouse to its companion app and prepare for your kids’ eyes to light up with wonder. Simply say “Hello Dreamhouse,” and watch as the house follows your orders. You can have the house start up the shower so Barbie can get ready, turn the place into a party pad with a slide and fun music, control the elevator (completely with elevator music!), enjoy a crazy light show, and so much more. Plus, kids can even get some added customization bonus in the app that make this house their very own. Over, meet whelmed.

Of course, Barbie’s house is equipped with all kinds of accessories that a modern woman needs—a tablet, a laptop, a flatscreen TV, stylish furniture, a fireplace, etc., etc., etc. The grand front doors swing open and the house is full of lights and sounds. Kids can also play in an offline mode, which lets them control the house with a push of a button, so no WiFi, no problem. The only thing Barbie Hello Dreamhouse does not include is a Barbie, so kids can make their existing collection lucky homeowners.

All in all, this Malibu mansion is a dream come true for any Barbie fan. And if you see it on a new episode of Beachfront Bargain Hunt, lmk.
