Many parents will try anything when it comes to making math more fun for kids. Games are a great way to do just that and Bananagrams is ready to lend a helping hand with Countaloupe, a dice game that helps boost math skills in a fun way.

Designed for kids ages 7 and up, 2-4 players can take turns rolling the dice, counting their seeds, and getting rid of their melon slice cards by matching the card numbers to the dice combinations. The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all the slices in your deck. During their turn, players can play it safe and stop when they want or take their chances to keep rolling, but be careful because one rotten roll of the dice can change everything.

Players must use quick thinking to calculate the dice combinations with simple addition to calculate their chances of getting rid of their melon slices before everyone else. The whole family can join in with 2-4 players to learn about probability and numbers in a more hands-on way than typical worksheets or homework. Each game lasts about 15 minutes.

Countaloupe is available for $9.99 at Amazon, bananagrams.com, and Barnes and Noble now.
