On Saturday, Oct. 9, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot made an appearance at New York Comic Con (NYCC) to give Animaniacs fans an exclusive first look at the show’s upcoming new season — and we have to say, it’s zany to the max!

Animaniacs follows the troublesome Warner siblings as they routinely escape from their home of the Warner Bros. water tower and wreak havoc just about everywhere they go. Steven Spielberg’s reboot of the 1993 cartoon first debuted on Hulu last November, reviving all of the slap-stick humor and pop culture references that made the variety show so iconic.

In the teaser of the second season, the Warner siblings give a totally tubular performance as the ’80s Cats, a group of warriors that use their musical talents to battle and defeat a giant robot. Season two will feature 13 episodes full of similar musical ensembles, pop culture parodies, and outlandish adventures all the way in outer space.

In lieu of an in-person panel, the voice cast of Animaniacs appeared in a virtual panel at NYCC hosted by David Holbrook of TV Guide. Rob Paulsen (Yakko), Tress MacNeille (Dot), Jess Harnell (Wacko), and Maurice LaMarche (Brain) sat down to discuss what makes Animaniacs unique as a cartoon series and the challenge of creating a reboot that is both fresh and reminiscent of its original form.

Animaniacs season two will be available in its entirety for streaming on Nov. 5 on Hulu. Watch the preview below!
