Paddington

Little fans of Paddington bear will soon have new stories to enjoy.

The Adventures of Paddington is a new, 26-episode, CG-animated series that follows a younger Paddington as he writes letters to Aunt Lucy celebrating the new things he has discovered during the day’s exciting activities. The series premiere will air in the U.S. on Monday, Jan. 20 at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Ahead of the premiere, Nickelodeon will introduce young audiences to The Adventures of Paddington with an early holiday presentation of “Paddington Finds a Pigeon/Paddington and the Chores List,” airing on Friday, Dec. 20, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT).  In the preview episode, Paddington nurses an injured bird back to health and discovers a new friend in Pigeonton. Then, Mr. Brown creates a list of chores for Paddington, who accidentally picks up the wrong list.

Actor Ben Whishaw (Mary Poppins Returns, the current “Q” in the James Bond series) reprises his role as the voice of the titular bear, adding familiarity for kids who have enjoyed the recent theatrical films. Parents may be excited to know that Gary Barlow of UK hitmakers Take That penned the original theme song, “Paddington Bear,” which he also performs.

The Adventures of Paddington will be supported by content on nickjr.com and the Nick Jr. app, with on-demand episodes also available on Nick Jr. and download-to-own services in the U.S.
