Nothing is better than fast food … expect miniature fast food!

Say hello to the new 5 Surprise Foodie Mini Brands collectibles from ZURU, the newest addition to the popular 5 Surprise Mini Brands line. Designed for kids ages 3 and up, this blind-box collectible surprises kids with miniature versions of fast food items that kids can display or use in imaginative storytelling. With more than 65 mini toys to collect in this new line, there are plenty of delicious options for everyone!

The 5 Surprise Foodie Mini Brands feature iconic menu items from real food chains, such as Sonic, T.G.I. Fridays, Subway, White Castle, and more. Like previous 5 Surprise Minis, there are four collectibles based on real brands and an accessory inside each capsule. However, unlike typical Mini Brands, there are no individual wedges that house the tiny collectibles. Instead, they come inside individual paper bags. (It seems like this is done intentionally to reduce plastic waste!)

The items range from mini food collectibles to buildable soda fountains, paper bags, and sauce dispensers. Some of the accessories are interactive as well, inviting kids to search inside the paper bags for a token or to assemble touch-to-order food stands.

In the Mini Brands capsule that I received for this review, I unwrapped a Sonic Wacky Pack mini bag with a token, a White Castle crinkle fries collectible, a Subway to-go cup, a White Castle paper bag, and a buildable mini soda fountain. The buildable soda fountain was an interactive collectible that included an image-based instruction guide for assembling it. After a couple of minutes and a lot of focused sticker application, I had a life-like mini soda fountain!

The contents of these new 5 Surprise capsules make perfect doll accessories, cute additions to a playset, or fun display pieces for collectors. Parents can even purchase mini magnets and glue them to the back of the mini foodie collectibles to create refrigerator decor! Feel free to stick them to some earring hooks, too, for a stand-out fashion accessory. There are so many ways to reimagine these collectibles, whether they become a part of a craft project or a crucial storytelling piece in a fabulous playhouse!

The 5 Surprise Foodie Mini Brands are also an eco-friendly option for parents looking to purchase more sustainable toys. The packaging is made with recycled plastic and PET-based film. Additionally, each mini foodie item comes individually wrapped in a food-decorated paper baggie.

As with most 5 Surprise Mini Brands, each capsule includes a tiny collector’s guide that highlights all of the food-related items in the series, so it’s easy for kids to track which ones they already unwrapped. Look out for ultra-rare items such as the Sonic bag and token, the frozen moments minis, the Hard Rock Cafe chocolate milkshake, and Hardee’s Original Angus Burger.

You don’t need to be hungry to grab these treats! Keep an eye out for the 5 Surprise Foodie Mini Brands when they officially launch at Walmart in late July.
