We’re going straight to the wild, wild west! This fall, Unexpected Games will launch its third game, 3,000 Scoundrels, created by designer and head of studio Corey Konieczka.
In 3,000 Scoundrels, 2-4 players can enter an alternative history Wild West and assume the roles of rival leaders attempting to steal precious technology left behind by a mysterious man known only as the Traveler. At the end of the game, the player with the most tech will determine the fate of the American Frontier. Players can use the clear cards to create up to 3,000 scoundrels, each with a unique name, artwork, and ability. Each game uses up to 50 scoundrels, so players will get a different experience every time.
Players will need to strategize to draft scoundrels that can assist them in the game, and then use them to build an engine that will help them win. Players will also need to misdirect opponents and choose when to bluff as part of their strategy, but if anyone gets caught cheating, they get penalized. The game comes with 60 clear job cards, 50 trait cards, four leader sheets, 28 poker cards, eight strategy cards, a game board, and more.
3,000 Scoundrels will launch this fall, recommended for kids ages 12 and up. Click here to preorder it now for $49.95. Unexpected Games’ first game release is called The Initiative, and its second title is called Voices In My Head, released this year.
