Can you believe Pokémon is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year?!

The brand is teaming up with Universal Music Group for a P25 Music celebration, kicking off the festivities with pop icon Katy Perry.

In a new video, fans can travel through 25 years of Pokémon history with a Rube Goldberg machine, ending with a record that teases Perry’s voice. More information about the exciting new project will roll out throughout the year. 

Fans can expect tons of new anniversary merch launching this year. Pokémon plans to collaborate with Mattel, Funko, Jazwares, Build-A-Bear WorkshopGeneral Mills, Levi’s, McDonald’s, and more.

If that wasn’t enough, keep an eye out for special collections of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which will feataure oversize Pokémon for the first time. The Pokémon Center also teased merch of their own, including a special anniversary skateboard.
