Wild Republic has been on a mission to do good, and its latest plush collection takes things to a new level of pop-art-inspired fun.

As part of its overarching “Promise to the Planet” initiative, Wild Republic’s new Message From the Planet brand is a collection of colorful plush animals that are manufactured using 100% recycled materials.

Each adorable little animal is made using recycled water bottles, and while plush made using recycled materials is not a new concept, Message From the Planet is a fully sustainable brand thanks to one element that often gets missed in the equation: the eyes. Each plush toy features recycled eyes!

On the surface, kids would never know that these plushies — a great white shark, sea turtle, dolphin, elephant, giraffe, koala, rhino, and kangaroo — were made any differently than other stuffed animals in their toy box. The quality is superb, but if kids do find out that they’re fully sustainable, they may love them even more as the younger generations are more eco-aware than those who came before them.

Here at home, we have the elephant and the dolphin, and our oldest daughter was quick to notice on the tags that Message From the Planet is a sustainable brand — a point that she called out as to why they’re awesome. Now the kids want me to get them the sea turtle and giraffe!

As for the “message?” Each Message From the Planet plush features comic book style, pop-art with actual messages like “eco-friendly,” “recycle and re-use,” and “be the change.”

While Message From the Planet plush animals are suitable for little ones as young as age 1, the kidults in the house might dig these as well. With the pop-art aesthetic, they look pretty cool as a collectible decor piece, too!
