Large and bright, yet lightweight and compact, this multilevel logic game is sure to puzzle even the greatest problem solver! Quadrillion, the latest single-player logic puzzle from Smart Toys & Games, has simple rules, but does not have a simple solution. As a puzzle lover myself, I found the bright colors and endless solutions captivating, making me feel as if I could play for hours.
Considered as the ultimate Solitaire game, a group of black and white boards set the foundation for play. The squares can be configured in countless ways, and it is the player’s job to successfully fit each of the 12 purposefully awkward-shaped puzzle pieces into the game board. I loved that I could create my own play space, instead of being confined to set boundaries, and I think kids will enjoy this element of creativity.
The overstated puzzle pieces are easy to hold and maneuver. Recommended for puzzlers ages 7 and up, the player can chose a level at which to solve the puzzle. But, don’t let this fool you, Mom and Dad—this game is not for amateurs. With levels varying from starter to wizard, it’s nearly impossible to beat them all.
The most frustrating part of this game—which is also the most entertaining part—is the fact that some of the spaces on the board are covered. Fitting the pieces in while avoiding these covered spaces is quite the challenge.
Smart Toys & Games is ready to put your noggin to the test with Quadrillion, and it doesn’t disappoint (that is, of course, if you can successfully solve all of the puzzles!).
