Get the Wee Ones Excited for St. Patrick’s Day with Silly McGilly!

Silly McGillyAs they say, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, and Silly McGilly is here to make sure that everybody gets in on the fun. Silly McGilly, a breath of fresh clover air, is a wee little leprechaun who loves to celebrate his favorite holiday. He visits homes and classrooms across the country to leave a little treat or play fun tricks on children in the months, weeks, or days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day.

The adorable plush leprechaun comes with a book and gets kids excited about the luckiest day of the year. The story gives a brief history about leprechauns and what they do, like Finn McShea controlling the sunshine and Seamus O’Dowd making shapes with clouds. It also encourages kids to put the toy on their windowsills, which acts an invitation for Silly to visit them. While kids are sleeping in the story, Silly will work his shenanigans and play tricks like having their backpacks filled with shamrocks or replacing their white shoelaces with green ones. The back of the book features fun ideas for parents to use throughout March, like leaving green balloons in a kid’s room and taping a photo of Silly over a family photo.

Silly McGilly is also perfect for the classroom. The little sprite can be up to his same ol’ tricks there, too, like switching nametags on cubbies. Additional ideas for teachers are also in the back of the storybook, like leaving behind activities for themed crafts, and leaving shamrock cut-outs to be used for learning games. The storybook is extremely high quality with adorable little illustrations – just look at Silly’s little face! The plush is also soft, small, and perfectly sized to be placed anywhere.

In addition, the Silly McGilly website features a lot of fun activities for individual kids or a classroom, from coloring exercises to Mad Libs. Silly McGilly is an adorable little leprechaun, and will definitely get your kids enthusiastic for St. Patrick’s Day!
