nerfblasterSometimes, it’s fun to fight for the bad guys.

With Nerf’s new Star Wars Rogue One Imperial Death Trooper Deluxe Blaster, from Hasbro, kids can take part in intergalactic adventures and fight for the dark side. And if the name alone doesn’t spook away those that fight for the light, then the sound of the pump-action mechanics sure will. Included in the box is a blaster, three darts, a magazine attachment, and an instruction manual.starwarsinsignia
Designed for aspiring Death Troopers ages 6 and up, this blaster is a simple dart-slinger that still manages to pack a powerful punch. Sporting red and gray plastic and a Star Wars insignia on the side, the blaster features a tactical rail for attachments (not included), a magazine attachment, and a pump-action handle. The muzzle contains chambers for three darts to be loaded at once, so kids don’t have to spend valuable time reloading after every shot.

On the back end of the blaster rests a speaker that emits laser blast sounds when kids pull the trigger. Just say “pew pew” in a high-pitched voice to hear what it sounds like. The sounds are loud and clear, and they add a exciting element to the product that will enhance kids’ role-playing experience. This feature does require three AAA batteries, so do make sure you have those on hand.

In addition to sound effects, kids can fight the light side with light thanks to special GlowStrike technology. When kids load the white, green-tipped darts into their chambers and cock the pump-action handle back, the inside of the muzzle will glow a bright shade of purple. This light charges the tips of the darts so young troopers can watch them fly towards the enemy and fight deep into the night.

The Star Wars Rogue One Imperial Death Trooper Deluxe Blaster is available now in honor of Force Friday and in anticipation of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, set to release on December 16.
