Discover Tots Measure Up! Cups and Spoons

Kids love to play with pots. I don’t really know what it is about a pot that is so entertaining for little ones, but pretty much every kid I know, and myself included when I was young, went through that stage. It’s fun to stir blocks and toys while Mom stirs food; to organize stuff in different buckets or bowls; or, in my case—to fill an empty pot with flour when Mom wasn’t looking, which resulted in my baby sister dumping it on her head (the photo is still framed in our house to this day).

Discovery ToysMeasure Up! Pots & Spoons give kids a great way to enjoy playing with pots and spoons, with each pot and spoon numbered from 1 to 10 (smallest to largest). Each spoon features a ladybug impression, so kids can roll dough or clay and make a cute little creature. The pots and spoons are proportionately sized, which teaches kids about volume and basic math. For example, kids can fill spoons 1 and 2 with dough, and then remove it, roll it up, and fit it perfectly into spoon 3. Each pot features an impression of a different type of food on the bottom, as well as different shaped patterns on the handles and rims. The spoons and bowls are colored to coordinate with each other—the smallest spoon and smallest pot are both green; the largest of each is orange, etc. Parents and caregivers can help little ones learn about sorting, matching, numbers, and more in a multitude of different ways.

Measure Up! Pots & Spoons is a great way for kids to have productive, unplugged fun and learn at the same time. While not intended for cooking purposes, they are dishwasher-safe and perfect for bathtime, sand box play, or for use with dough or clay.
