Inspired by the Guess How Much I Love You book series by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram, this fun-filled Disney Junior DVD series features Little Nutbrown Hare and his father, Big Nutbrown Hare, as they explore the world around them. I love these DVDs because they portray the same endearing simplicity as the McBratney classic books that I grew up with.
Guess How Much I Love You: Hidden Treasure is the debut single disc, and features seven complete episodes in which Little Nutbrown Hare explores the meadow, playing with his friends, and of course, learning life lessons including the importance of friendship, learning from mistakes, and embracing differences in others. Episodes include Hidden Treasure; Finder’s Keepers; It’s Okay; Slip, Slop, Slide; Inside Day; Where’s Little Redwood Fox?; and Snowflake. I watched the DVD with a four year-old, and she was completely enamored with the animals, especially the field mouse. There is something about the simple nature of the hare and his friends that make the episodes so endearing! The disc has 80 minutes of running time, and will be available November 5.
