Girl Playing with DeskEvery year, 9.8 million tons of furniture waste accumulates in U.S. landfills each year, and The Cardboard Guys have a solution. For the kids that turn boxes into race cars, castles, and airplanes: This one’s for you. The Cardboard Guys have created a Kids Imagination Desk and Chair, designed to foster creativity in a fun, fuctional, and eco-friendly way.

The furniture is simple to assemble, can hold up to more than 500 pounds, and is made in the U.S.. Best of all, kids are encouraged to draw on and decorate it. The cardboard is lightweight, strong, customizable, and can be recycled afterward when kids grow out of it. The desk also features reversible outer pieces, cubbies, and side tabs for DIY attachments. No adhesive is required for assembly, and snaps together easily.

Kickstarter donations range from $5 to $2,000, and prizes include a Cardboard Corey doll (the mascot of The Cardboard Guys), a t-shirt, various packages for different types of Kids Imagination Furniture, and a day to hang out with the team behind The Cardboard Guys.
