Trobo the Storytelling Robot successfully raised $61,060 in a Kickstarter campaign that ended on October 6th.
Created by dads Jeremy Scheinberg and Chris Harden, Trobo answers kids’ questions about the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts around them every day. The plush storytelling robot uses an interactive iPad app to read personalized stories focused on STEM ideas to kids ages 2 to 7.
The first story concepts were voted on by Kickstarter backers and include: How is Honey Made (chemistry), What is Lightning (weather), What is Gravity (physics), How do I Count Money (math) and How Does a Car Go (engineering), with more on the way.
Trobo’s successful crowdfunding campaign will allow the product to go into production for delivery next year, but the company is still accepting pre-orders at www.trobokickstarter.com!
