There’s a new princess in town, and she’s a lover of all things sparkly, glittery, and everything in between. Gitterbelle is a modern-day princess who loves to go on adventures with her friends. Parragon has created a new line of enchanting story and activity books based on the new character. They’re fun to read, have adorable illustrations, and even include a template to cut out and make a tiara in one of the activity books —which, come on, enhances the princess experience by at least ten times.
Glitterbelle is smart, funny, and enthusiastic. She loves her parents (the King and the Queen), adores her pet dog, Bob, enjoys racing around on her scooter, and can often be found climbing trees with her best friends, Dazzlina and Angel. Like all princesses, Glitterbelle has pretty dresses covered in sequins, but she prefers to wear leggings and her glittery sneakers.
Glitterbelle: The Sparkliest Princess Ever!, is a storybook that introduces Glitterbelle as she tries to be a proper fairytale princess (but it doesn’t quite work out). Her friends help her realize that she should embrace what she loves—all things glitter–because she is already the best kind of princess after all. Glitterbelle: Doodle, Dazzle, Create! is an activity book is an interactive activity books that allows readers to doodle, design, and color as they read the story of Glitterbelle and her besties at a slumber party in a palace.
Glitterbelle: Dazzling Dress-Up is a sticker activity book, where readers can dress up Glitterbelle and her friends in a fashion show with various different scenarios. With more than 400 stickers, readers can try on different designs. It even comes with 35 glittery nail stickers and a nail file to bring out the fashion princess in everyone. Glitterbelle: Me and You is a journal, where kids are encouraged to fill out pages about their friends, dreams, and secrets.
The entire line is enchanting and cute, and is a low-tech way for kids to pass the time. The activity and journal books remind me of the ones I used to love when I was growing up.
