Crayola is retiring a crayon tomorrow on National Crayon Day and the internet is *~freaking out~*.

Although this isn’t the first time the company is retiring a crayon, it is the first time in its 100-year history that it will retire a color from its iconic 24-count crayon box.

While some fans literally can’t even imagine this happening, others are still recovering from Hasbro replacing three of their iconic tokens in the Monopoly game moving forward (the wheelbarrow, the boot, and the thimble did not pass “GO”).

The secret is being kept under wraps until the announcement tomorrow morning in Times Square. Right now, the 24-count box has red, yellow, blue, brown, orange, green, violet, black, carnation pink, yellow orange, blue green, red violet, red orange, yellow green, blue violet, white, violet red, dandelion, cerulean, apricot, scarlet, green yellow, indigo, and gray.

While all details are rather ominous, there’s one thing for sure: We can definitely color the internet sad, angry, and confused, and people are taking their feelings to social media.

Some people are in straight up denial:

Nothing is sacred anymore:

HEARTS ARE BROKEN:

How could the world be so cruel?:

This escalated quickly:

People’s childhoods are crumbling:

Other people are unapologetically voting the color white off the island:

But these people have some good points:

It’s getting weirdly political:

This is kind of dramatic, but really on brand for me:

Same ?:

Some think Crayola is trolling us all:

Or getting off topic:

Which crayon is getting Lucille’d?:

General consensus is to not touch cerulean. #CERULEANFOREVER

So, #WhosLeaving? Find out tomorrow, and be one of the first to know at the event’s live stream on Crayola’s Facebook page.

Crayola has not announced if they will replace the color, but I assume they have to because it will be straight up savage to leave 23 crayons in the box. Maybe my OCD is showing.
