Winter is in full swing by this time of year, which means cold weather, lots of snow, and that the unspoken—yet universal—best part of the day is cuddling up with a warm blanket after a long day.

Now, kids can come home to their own snuggly plush that also doubles as a a hooded blanket. Comfy Critters is a line of adorable animals and critters that transform from a 3- by 4-foot blanket into animal pillows and plush toys. The blankets are made of chenille fabric, making them high quality, lightweight, and super soft.

Comfy Critters come in a whole bunch of colorful and detailed animals, so there will be a favorite for all kids. The line includes Unity the Unicorn, Chloe the Cat, Seymour the Shark, Dexter the Dog, Olive the Owl, Milo the Monkey, T-Bone the Triceratops, and Ziggy the Zebra. When kids want to transition their blanket to a stuffed animal, all they have to do is fold it into the hood and lock it in place using a Velco strap. Voilá!

howtofold_animiation_smallThe back of the box also lists (actually funny) fun facts about each animal, giving an extra personal touch and adding personality to them. For example, Milo the Monkey’s favorite memory was getting to meet Donkey Kong and Seymour the Shark’s favorite movie is Finding Nemo. The Comfy Critters’ faces are embroidered to match these personalities. They also have extra features, such as a fins and a tail for the shark and floppy ears and tail for the dog, so they have the look of a stuffed animal when they’re folded up. And—my favorite part—each blanket has hand pockets matching the hands of the animal, such as feathers for the owl and a pair of hoofs for the unicorn.

The wearable stuffed animals are also available in kids’ favorite characters, including Paw Patrol pups Chase, Everest, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Skye, and Zuma; SpongeBob Squarepants favorites Patrick and SpongeBob himself; the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles squad Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael; and The World of Eric Carle’s Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Admittedly, Comfy Critters are not just for kids. Ever since we got these here in the office a few weeks ago, there’s a good chance that you’ll find at least one member of the Toy Insider team wearing it at any point in time. #judgementfreezone

Comfy Critters are versatile, functional, and durable, being the perfect napping, traveling, playing, and sleeping companion. Kids will be cuddling up with their critters throughout the cold winter months and beyond!
