Some kids are scared of monsters hiding under the bed or lurking around in the dark, which can lead to restless sleep and terrifying nightmares. Thankfully, Scentco’s new plush squad of superheroes will give kids some peace of mind at bedtime.

The Bedtime Defenderz are a team of plush characters dedicated to battling the creators of nightmares and ensuring that every kid ages 3 and up enjoys sweet dreams. There are five characters to collect, each with their own personality: Magnus (the leader), Bruno (the brawn), Lex (the heart and soul), El Soñador (the scrapper), and Zigy (the speedster). Together, they fight against evil Torrag’s army of Night Krawlerz and Bed Bugz — the creatures who feed off of nightmare energy.

Made with ultra-soft Velboa material, each 10-inch plush character wears a glow-in-the-dark belt buckle, which helps comfort kids who don’t love the dark. There is also weighted material in the characters’ fists that helps them stand up and fight while keeping them perfectly soft and huggable.

Each plush characters comes with a power band (a slap bracelet) and an original comic book, in which the featured character battles one of Torrag’s associates to save a kid from nightmares. Kids can learn about the character in the comic, including their power ratings, superpower, hobbies, and biggest fears (which some of them have to face!). For instance, Bruno is terrified of fire and has the most strength on the team; El Soñador can cast magical spells and hates anything that crawls; and Zigy has the power to become a ricocheting ball and is scared of heights.

While these plushies are primarily made to make bedtime a breeze, they also offer plenty of imaginative play, too. Kids can use the included power band as a communication device with their Defender. They can also collect multiple characters and have them team up to take on Torrag and his goons.

Parents will love that these plush characters can help kids become more independent. They will start to feel more confident when bedtime comes around, so they might actually stay in bed for once! Parents will also appreciate that the plushies are made from durable materials, meaning they will always be ready for the next battle.

When it’s time for lights out, nightmares better watch out, because the Bedtime Defenderz are always there to protect kids in need.
